AMRITSAR, March 8 -- The executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Friday sacked Akal Takht jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh and Takht Kesgarh Sahib jathedar Giani Sultan Singh from their posts and appointed Sikh scholar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj as the new head of Takht Kesgarh Sahib.
