SGPC chief demands death penalty for sacrilege offenders
Amritsar, July 10 -- As the Punjab government prepares to introduce a bill in the state assembly aimed at imposing stricter punishments for those involved in sacrilege, SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami on Wednesday demanded death sentence for culprits involved in sacrilege incidents. Dhami reiterated the SGPC's long-standing demand for capital punishment for those who desecrate the Guru Granth Sahib.
