School twinning programme hosted at Holy Mary's School
Banur, Nov. 20 -- Holy Mary's School hosted the students and faculty of PM Shri Government High School, Hulka (Block Banur, SAS Nagar) as part of the PM SHRI School Twinning Programme, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and the Department of School Education, Punjab.
As a part of this collaborative endeavour, students from the government school of classes 6 to 10 spent around ten insightful days on the Holy Mary's campus, taking part in a variety of academic, practical, and co-curricular activities. The group was accompanied on most days by the senior faculty member, Bhavneet Kaur, under the able guidance of Sumita, headmistress of PM Shri Government High School, Hulka. The programme aims to promote peer learning and provide students with exposure to different teaching styles, school environments, and learning resources. It also encourages the sharing of effective teaching practices between government and private institutions.
During their stay, students enthusiastically took part in interactive classroom sessions, concept-oriented lessons, practical lab activities, smart class demonstrations, sports, and various co-curricular exchange.
