Sangrur's wheat Output set to be highest in 3 yrs
Sangrur, May 27 -- The crop-cutting surveys have pegged the Sangrur district's wheat yield at 57.98 quintals for this rabi season, a hike of 1.32 quintals per hectare year-on-year, officials said.
According to data collected through the crop-cutting survey, a technique used for estimating the yield crop, Sangrur district's estimated wheat yield for the current Rabi season, the rise has been 5.29 quintals per hectare when compared to the 2022-23 season.
In the 2023-24 season, the district achieved a yield of 56.66 quintals per hectare.
