Saini invites Tesla to set up unit in Hry
Chandigarh, Nov. 7 -- Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday offered state support to US multinational automotive and clean energy company, Tesla, for setting up a manufacturing unit in the state.
A delegation of Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Ltd, the Indian subsidiary of Tesla Inc, met Saini on Thursday to invite him for the November 27 inauguration of an integrated Tesla Centre in Gurgaon. It will house an experience centre, delivery centre, service centre, office space and supercharging station. The Tesla delegation was led by the company's south-east Asia director, Isabel Fan.
An official spokesperson said that the CM invited the electric vehicle manufacturer company to establish a manufacturing plant in Haryana and assured the state government's commitment to provide support for promotion of EVs.
