Chandigarh, Nov. 17 -- Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, celebrated its much-awaited annual function "Udaan: Wings of Valour", a heartfelt and inspiring theatrical tribute to the courage and sacrifice of Neerja Bhanot, India's braveheart and an enduring symbol of selfless service. The event was graced by Garima Sharma, deputy secretary, department of higher education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. who honoured the occasion as the chief guest. His Excellency Rt Rev Ignatius Loyola Ivan Mascarenhas graced the occasion with his benign presence. The guest of honour was Capt Ishita Bhatia. Both dignitaries appreciated the school for nurturing values of courage, compassion, and leadership among students. The morning unfolded with the prayer dance followed by much awaited grand theatrical performance "Udaan: Wings of Valour", portraying the heroic life of Neerja Bhanot. The production highlighted exceptional student talent and left the audience deeply moved. Academic excellence was celebrated as toppers of Class 12 were felicitated for their outstanding performance. The students who had excelled in Sports were also felicitated for their sterling achievements.
