Ryan International School students celebrate 79th Independence Day
Ludhiana, Aug. 19 -- "Freedom is not just the absence of chains, but the presence of opportunities to soar." With this spirit, Ryan International School, Ludhiana, commemorated the 79th Independence Day of India. The morning unfolded with a dignified flag hoisting ceremony by the guests of honour, Jagroop Singh Jharkar, senior vice-president, sports wing, AAP, and Rajinder Singh, retired dosen and former head of the department of Physical Education, GGN Khalsa College, Ludhiana, followed by an impeccable Guard of Honour presented by the NCC cadets.
A special assembly marked the day, where students prayed for the nation's peace, unity, and prosperity. The cultural show commenced with Tricolour Tribute by Classes 1-2, a dance celebrating the spirit of the national flag. Unity Steps by Classes 3-5 showcased harmony through synchronised patriotic movements. Tribute to the Nation by Classes 9-10 delivered a thought-provoking skit on India's journey and achievements. United Rhythms by Classes 6-8 was a melodious patriotic mashup, blending songs from different eras. The Radio Jockey segment by Classes 11-12 creatively shared insights about eco-friendly start-ups. Operation Sindoor by Classes VI-VIII was a moving performance honouring the sacrifices of soldiers. The event concluded with the energetic Bhangra by Classes 6-9 , filling the ground with rhythm and cheer.
