Jalandhar, Sept. 22 -- A 47-year-old man shot himself with his licensed revolver here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Jatinder Singh of Wariana village. He was the son of a retired IPS officer and ran a business. Inquiry officer and assistant sub-inspector Manjit Singh of Maqsudan police said no suicide note was recovered from the spot and the reason behind the extreme step is not clear. He said his father and child were at home when Jatinder shot himself. His wife was out of the station.
