Report on ut disease trend to be out today
Chandigarh, Oct. 11 -- A report on-non communicable diseases (NCD), tracking the burden, outcomes and trends of major NCDs, such as cancer, stroke, heart attack, young diabetes, etc, in Chandigarh will be released on Saturday at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER). The report comprises records from July 2018 to December 2021.
It would provide updated insights on the magnitude and trends of NCDs including magnitude of cancer in Chandigarh, highlighting patterns in incidence, mortality and key risk factors. The event is being organised by World NCD Federation in collaboration with PGIMER, health department. The Chandigarh NCD Registry, established as the first integrated non-communicable disease registry in the WHO south-east Asia region, serves as a unique model for comprehensive NCD surveillance.
