Udaipur, July 2 -- A 36-year-old woman was hacked to death with a sword by her ex-boyfriend at a bus stand in Banswara district of Rajasthan on Tuesday morning, police said, adding that efforts are underway to locate the accused. The victim was sitting at the Kalinjara bus stand when her former partner struck her multiple times with a sword before fleeing the scene, police said. "At around 10.30am we got information that the victim, who was a government teacher, was sitting at the bus stand when the accused, her ex-boyfriend, came there with a sword and attacked her," Banswara superintendent of police (SP) Harsh Vardhan Singh said, adding that a probe is underway to ascertain the reason behind the attack. She was rushed to the district hospital where doctors declared her dead, the SP said, adding that her body has been sent for post-mortem examination. "A FIR has been registered. We have constituted various teams under the supervision of DSP Bagidora circle. The hunt for the accused has been launched," he said.htc...
