Raghav Juyal: Acting sab karte hain, but my audience has lived my journey with me
India, Nov. 7 -- Actor Raghav Juyal is still soaking in all the love he's received for his recent web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Known for his comic timing, Raghav got to showcase his lighter side in the show, something fans had missed for a while.
The 34-year-old deliberately took a break from comedy to explore more intense roles in Kill (2024), Gyaarah Gyaarah (2024), and Yudhra (2024) before returning to the genre. "Many comedy films were offered to me in the last few years, but I said no to all of them. I purposely did Kill first because I had to prove myself as a serious actor. It opened a lot of doors for me as makers started seeing something different in me post that. Now they are trusting me with lead roles because they believe I can pull them off," he says.
Having come full circle with The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Raghav is all praise for its director, Aryan Khan, with whom he now shares a close bond. "Aryan took special care of me. He gave me great scenes and made sure all my apprehensions were addressed, especially since I was a bit skeptical about playing the hero's friend," he says, adding that he's now close to the entire Khan family, including Aryan's father, actor Shah Rukh Khan, and sister, actor Suhana Khan. "They are like family to me now. As for Aryan, there's so much to learn from him. He is such a brave director. People take years to find their voice, but he knew right from the first project what he wanted to show, and he was unapologetic about it," Raghav shares.
Now, as he reflects on how far he's come, Raghav dmits that audiences are finally looking at him beyond just a dancer and host. "Achanak se actor wali pehchaan zyada ho gayi hai. My audience on the internet has seen my journey and been with me all along, so my success feels personal to them. Acting sab karte hain, but my audience has lived my journey with me. I want to give more back to them," he ends....
