Chandigarh, Oct. 10 -- A workshop on rabies awareness and prevention was organised at AKSIPS 45 Smart School for Classes 4 and 5. The session aimed to spread awareness about rabies, its causes, preventive measures, and the importance of timely vaccination. The resource person for the workshop Harshender Dutt, education officer at Mission Rabies, highlighted that rabies is a 100% preventable but fatal disease if not treated on time. The students were sensitised about first aid measures after animal bites, importance of pet vaccination, and community responsibility in controlling rabies.
