Chandigarh, Feb. 7 -- MRA Senior Secondary School celebrated the 76th Republic Day, fostering a sense of national pride among the staff. The event commenced at 9.40 am with a special assembly organised by Gandhi House under Simran's guidance. The theme for this year's event, "Swarnim Bharat - Virasat aur Vikas" (Golden India - Heritage and development), was highlighted throughout the programme. The principal emphasised the occasion's significance, reflected on the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to secure and uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution, reminded everyone of the fundamental duties outlined in it and urged them to fulfil their roles responsibly, contributing positively towards nation-building. The principal also motivated the educators, highlighting their role in shaping citizens and inspiring them to continue nurturing values of patriotism and excellence. A series of cultural performances were featured. Various Classes showcased their talents through dances, songs, and poetry. Students delivered speeches. Adding an intellectual dimension, a quiz was conducted, focusing on the day's history. The winners were given prizes, which infused a spirit of healthy competition among the participants.
