Punjab's education system undergoing reforms, says Cheema
	
		
				Chandigarh, Oct. 31 -- Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Thursday said the state's education system is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by comprehensive infrastructure upgrades under the Sikhya Kranti programme and strengthened by initiatives to enhance teacher strength and address long-standing concerns.
Cheema made the remarks while meeting representatives of seven education department unions, including the Special Cadre Adhiyapak Front, Computer Adhiyapak Union, Computer Adhiyapak Sangharsh Committee, and various ETT and B.Ed TET pass teacher unions.
During the discussion, the minister conducted a detailed review of their demands and urged union members to continue dedicating themselves to improving education standards in government schools.
Secretary education Anindita Mitra informed Cheema that solutions for most union demands are either in the final stage or currently being processed. She also assured that other legitimate demands would be addressed promptly....
