Mohali, Nov. 17 -- A 25-year-old Chandigarh resident died after a Punjab Roadways bus allegedly hit his motorcycle near Singhpura bridge in Zirakpur on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Ajay Kumar, a resident of Ram Darbar. His friend Vikas Kumar, who was travelling with him, sustained injuries. In his complaint, Vikas said they were returning home after completing their shift at a private company in Dera Bassi. When they reached Singhpura bridge, a Punjab Roadways bus, bearing registration number PB65-BB-4406, allegedly rammed into their motorcycle. The impact crushed the motorcycle and left both riders injured. Vikas told police that the bus driver initially came towards them but later fled the spot. Locals rushed the friends to the Dera Bassi civil hospital, where doctors declared Ajay dead and Vikas received treatment for his injuries. On Sunday, police registered a case under Sections 106 (causing death by negligence), 125 (A) (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 281 (rash driving) and 324 (4) (mischief) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita....
