Chandigarh, Nov. 18 -- The 31st Punjab Open Ladies' Championship 2025 teed off at the Chandigarh Golf Course, running from November 17 to 20, under the aegis of the ladies' section of the Chandigarh Golf Club in collaboration with GB Legends. A hallmark event on North India's amateur women's golf calendar, the championship continues to provide a strong platform for emerging golfers aiming for national and international recognition. The tournament, with a field of 106 participants from across India-including NCR, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, and Pune-features golfers aged between 9 and 79 years. Defending champion Hazel Chauhan returned to defend her title from the 30th edition, while the ceremonial tee-off was performed by Heena Kang, who recently turned professional. Chandigarh has long been a cradle of women's golf talent, producing top-ranked players such as Ceerat Kang, Guntas Kaur Sandhu, Rebab Kahlon, Ojaswini Saraswat, and Gairat Kahlon, all of whom have represented India internationally.
