Punjab govt sanctions Rs.46 cr for repair of 90 link roads in Kharar
Mohali, Sept. 28 -- The Punjab government has approved Rs.46 crore for the repair of 90 link roads in Kharar constituency. MLA Anmol Gagan Maan said the public works department (PWD) has already allotted tenders for the first phase of 30 roads, pending from 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25.
These 30 roads cover a total length of 60.48 km and will be repaired at a cost of around Rs.15 crore. The work is scheduled to be completed within six months.
In the second phase, PWD has issued tenders for the repair of 50 link roads due in 2025-26. These roads, spread over 97.03 km, are estimated to cost around Rs.24 crore, with a completion period of 13 months.
Additionally, the finance department has approved approval for 10 more link roads in the constituency, with a length of 30.12 km and cost of Rs.7.40 crore. Repair work on these roads will also begin soon and is expected to finish within six months. All roads will be maintained by the concerned agency after completion of repair.htc...
