Chandigarh, Sept. 26 -- An open discussion with all major student parties was held in Panjab University on Thursday where students have now resolved for a total boycott of the protest affidavit introduced by PU for this year. All students haven't filled the protest affidavit till now and the student leaders are urging those left over to not fill them. Three of the four Panjab University Students' Council (PUSC) members were present during the discussion except president Gauravveer Sohal. Vice-president Ashmeet Singh described how the students facing the FIR for the Bhagwant Mann event last year were the first to be introduced to the affidavit and how they had taken a collective call to not sign it. An all party meeting is scheduled for Friday and a united front comprising all student bodies and independent voices will take the movement forward. The PUSC formally submitted a resolution to the PU's vice-chancellor Renu Vig, demanding immediate withdrawal of the affidavit.
