Mohali, Nov. 8 -- The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has initiated a process to become a dual certificate body under the Government of India's National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), aiming to significantly enhance the quality and reach of skill-based education. PSEB chairman Amarpal Singh said, "Our goal is to prepare every student for both life and livelihood. Education must empower, not merely evaluate." The overall focus is to build a robust, skill-oriented ecosystem within Punjab's schools, thereby equipping students with competencies essential for future employment. This will involve the recognition of academic achievements and certified vocational skills. The PSEB is concentrating on creating clear pathways that effectively bridge the gap between education and the dynamic needs of modern industry, while preparing a generation ready to contribute meaningfully to the state's economy.
