Principal, asst teacher shunted for beating up student: officials
Haridwar, Sept. 21 -- A government school principal and an assistant teacher have been suspended for allegedly beating up a Class 1 student in Narsain, officials at the education department said on Saturday.
The matter reportedly came to light through a complaint lodged on September 10, officials said, adding the incident occurred at Government Primary School in Kotwal Alampur. A departmental inquiry subsequently verified the complaint and started action against the Ravindra Kumar, the principal and assistant teacher Ravindra Kumar, officials confirmed.
"They were suspended and attached to the deputy education officer's jurisdiction in Laksar.. The block education officer in Bhagwanpur has been asked to conduct a probe," said DEO Ashutosh Bhandari.HTC...
