India, July 27 -- Not long after the row over Prada rebranding Kohlapuris as 'toe-ring sandals', the fashion house seems to have taken cues from yet another Indian staple. The internet is drawing similarities between Prada's newest heels, the Antiqued Leather Pumps (see left) and traditional juttis. With a closed-toe and raw finish, the design seems lifted from the footwear long worn in Punjab.
