Faridkot, May 16 -- Congress president Rahul Gandhi made supporters wait nearly two hours in the scorching heat at the Bargari rally on Wednesday. With the temperature shooting up to 40 degrees, people had to wait under the scorching sun as the venue was not covered, after the tents were blown away by the late night storm. Nevertheless, Rahul Gandhi managed to engage the crowd by starting the speech with his popular slogan 'chowkidar chor hai'. Cabinet minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar told attendees- "The sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib happened here, so God is testing us. Despite the scorching heat, you people are here to support us, and this will not go in vain." After sitting in the heat, supporters rushed to roadside vendors for kulfis and soft drinks to escape the heat after the rally....
