Chandigarh, May 16 -- An officer of the rank of additional chief electoral officer in Chandigarh had a tough task at hand when he had to issue two cards each to at least 4,500 journalists from across the state - one for poll-day coverage and another for counting of votes. The fact that so many journalists would be out for poll coverage in the state and are expected to reach the counting centre four days later, surprised the officer, who said he never knew there is such a big team of media working during election. If the number is compared to the paramilitary force CRPF deputed in the state for polls, journalists would constitute about 5 battalions, with each battalion having seven companies and each company comprising of 135 personnel!...
