Chandigarh, May 14 -- Addressing a gathering at Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Bhawan in Sector 44, Pawan Kumar Bansal, Chandigarh Congress Lok Sabha candidate, claimed he will do away with the Darbar culture if elected in Chandigarh. "Once elected, I assure you that I will eradicate the VIP culture and will bring in the concept of "Participatory democracy" in the city wherein Open-house meetings will be held every month or so, with participation from residents," said Bansal. He also added that he will do away with MP flag from his car and he will not have his name on foundation stones. City's prominent people will be called to lay inauguration stone.
