Police probe sexual assault case against Katy Perry
India, April 17 -- Australian Police have confirmed investigating a "historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010".
While a spokesperson for Melbourne's sexual offences and child abuse investigation team did not reveal the identities of those involved, the statement comes days after actor Ruby Rose publicly accused singer Katy Perry of assaulting her at a Melbourne nightclub.
Despite earlier saying she did not want to report the incident, Rose revealed on Wednesday that she has taken the matter to the authorities.
"As of this afternoon, I have finalised all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved... I can start the healing process now," she wrote on Threads.
Amid the ongoing probe, a former manager of the nightclub shared his recollection of the night to Rolling Stone Australia: "They came in together... It was a security nightmare as Katy kept going to dance in the mosh pit."
He added that the pair spent most of their time in a VIP section: "I wasn't aware of any alleged assault or someone vomiting. They were drunk, but weren't paralytic or anything... To avoid people taking photos of them in a state, we escorted them out the back." htc...
