PGI secures Rs.1.5 crore incentive under kayakalp scheme
Chandigarh, March 29 -- Under the Kayakalp scheme, the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) secured second rank among central government hospitals and institutes for the year 2025-26, instituted by the ministry of health & family welfare.
The ministry sanctioned an incentive of Rs.1.5 crore to PGIMER in recognition of its sustained commitment and outstanding performance in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, infection control, hospital upkeep and patient-friendly hospital environment.
The Kayakalp initiative aims to promote excellence in sanitation, waste management, infection control, and overall patient care environment in public healthcare facilities across the country.
Director, PGIMER, Dr Vivek Lal stated "This achievement is a testament to PGIMER's unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care and hospital hygiene. We will continue to strengthen our systems to achieve even higher benchmarks in the future."...
