Pedro Pascal addresses backlash over Fantastic Four casting
India, June 28 -- Pedro Pascal, who stars in Marvel's upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has addressed the initial backlash over his casting. He will play Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic in the superhero film.
The 50-year-old acknowledged the criticism, telling Vanity Fair, "I'm more aware of disgruntlement around my casting than anything I've ever done." Some of the negative reactions said he was "too old," "not right," and "needs to shave."
Besides Pedro, the film also stars actor Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, actor Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Rounding out the cast are actors John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
