Mohali, June 26 -- The elections of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) are to be held on July 12. Former IAS Rajeev Sharma has been appointed as the electoral officer for the proceedings. The election office has been set up at the PCA Mullanpur Stadium. According to the election programme released on Wednesday, the office bearers and apex council members can submit their nominations on July 3 and 4. Their scrutiny will be done from July 5 to 7 and final names of the candidates will be displayed at 5 pm on July 7. Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their names by 4 pm on July 8. The final list of the candidates will be displayed at 5 pm on the same day. As many as 11 apex council members are to be elected along with president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer posts. Three years ago, PCA had witnessed unanimous elections and former cricketer Gulzarinder Chahal was appointed as president.
