Patriotism and pride shine at St Soldier International School
Chandigarh, Aug. 21 -- Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, celebrated India's 79 th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and grandeur.
The celebrations began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by school chairman Ravinder Pal Singh Hayer, joined by school director Jagwinder Pal Singh Hayer, and accompanied by adviser Vijaya Sidhu and principal Anisha Ghuman, whose presence added immense pride to the occasion.
The resonating strains of the National Anthem that followed instilled in everyone a deep sense of unity and national pride.
The cultural programme, presented by Class 6, opened with a thought for the day that inspired reflection, followed by an eloquent speech on the significance of Independence Day.
A heartfelt Hindi poem beautifully conveyed love and gratitude towards the motherland.
The bilingual stage play 'Yadon Ka Bagh' movingly portrayed the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy through an emotional exchange between a grandfather and his grandchildren.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, a melodious group song filled the air with devotion.
The event also featured invigorating yoga sequences showcased focus and discipline, and the grand finale, a spirited dance, brought alive the courage and sacrifices of India's eminent freedom fighters.
The celebrations reflected the students' remarkable teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm.
The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks, followed by an address from Principal Anisha Ghuman.
She who commended the efforts of Class 6 students and teachers, and urged everyone to honour the hard-earned freedom by contributing positively to society.
The principal's motivating words left the students and the faculty memebers inspired to uphold the values of unity, service, and patriotism....
