Chandigarh, June 28 -- The Panjab University is set to hold the second meeting of the committee formed to look into the proposed protest affidavit on Monday. This comes after students had mostly boycotted the first committee meeting. The panel had already recommended that the word permission be changed to intimation, so students will only need to intimate the authorities before holding protests. The affidavit is mandatory for new admissions from the next session and places conditions on holding protests on the varsity campus. Students closed the gate number 2 on Thursday for over eight hours in protest. They said protest will continue in the coming days....
