Chandigarh, July 6 -- In one of the largest and most significant environmental events in Chandigarh, Punjab governor and UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria on Saturday led a massive city-wide tree plantation drive on 'Van Mahotsav 2025', when a total of as many as 1.17 lakh saplings were planted at 318 pre-identified sites across the city. Kataria himself planted saplings at 23 different locations across the city. He said, "This is not an event, it is a green movement - one that must echo through every household, every school, every institution of Chandigarh."
