New Delhi, Dec. 25 -- The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday accused Opposition parties of maintaining what it described as a "silent acceptance" of the lynching of a Hindu man in Bangladesh, alleging that political considerations had taken precedence over condemning violence against minorities in the neighbouring country. Addressing a press conference in the national Capital, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari targeted the Congress and the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government, accusing them of indulging in what he termed "appeasement politics" in their response to protests triggered by the incident. "At a time when the Opposition should have stood with the government, the Mamata Banerjee government is lathi-charging Hindus in West Bengal, and Digvijay Singh is justifying the lynching," he said. "Even Rahul Gandhi has not spoken a single word on this issue," he added....
