New Delhi, May 31 -- Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is leading one of the seven all-party delegations as part of India's diplomatic outreach, on Friday expressed his disappointment over Colombia offering condolences for the loss of lives in Pakistan following Indian strikes during Operation Sindoor -- India's direct response to the Pahalgam terror attack. At a press conference in Colombia's capital Bogota, Tharoor talked about India's stance on terrorism, said BJP MP Tejasvi Surya, who is also part of the delegation. "During the press briefing, Dr @ShashiTharoor reaffirmed India's stance on terrorism and expressed disappointment over Colombia's response which has offered condolences for the loss of lives in Pakistan, rather than sympathising with the victims of terrorism in India," Surya said in a post on X. In Bogota, Tharoor also said that India had entered into the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) with Pakistan in goodwill and harmony, but "the time for acting based on goodwill unilaterally is frankly no longer with us. The water treaty was put in abeyance among several punitive measures taken by India after the April 22 terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people. "We have given Pakistan very generously the waters that they are entitled to under the treaty, and we have not even used all the waters we are entitled to under the treaty. But, the time for acting based on goodwill unilaterally is frankly no longer with us," he said. In Copenhagen, former Union MoS MJ Akbar, who is part of the delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, said that Denmark has voiced its support for India in India's battle against terrorism.
