Rudrapur, April 19 -- A 24-year-old woman died after her scooty collided with a cow on Rampur road in Haldwani district on Friday night, police said. The woman, identified as Shreya Joshi of Himmatpur village, was returning home to Haldwani after finishing her shift at a factory in Rudrapur. "Prima facie, it was an accident. Her scooty hit a cow on the way, resulting in severe injuries. Hair of a cow was found stuck on the front of her scooty," said in-charge of the Transport Nagar police outpost in Haldwani, Manoj Kumar. Police said the accident occurred near the Bel Baba temple and she fell on the road and lost consciousness after her scooty collided with a cow. A passerby spotted her and informed the police before taking her in his car to a private hospital near STH in Haldwani. However, she succumbed to her injuries during treatment, officials said.
