New Delhi, March 6 -- Hari Krishan (HK) Dua, former editor-in-chief of the Hindustan Times, died on Wednesday after a brief illness. He headed the newspaper from 1987 to 1994, and held senior editorial positions at Times of India, Indian Express, and Tribune. He also served as media adviser to former Prime Ministers HD Deve Gowda and Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2001 and 2003, was a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, and served as India's Ambassador to Denmark.
His last rites were performed on Thursday at the Lodhi Road crematorium.
Dua was known for his sharp political insight and unwavering commitment to editorial independence. He was also a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha (2009-2015), where he contributed significantly to debates on foreign affairs and national security. P9...
