Mohali, Dec. 10 -- Flight operations at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport continued to show improvement on Wednesday, with only eight of 47 IndiGo flights cancelled and the rest operating with delays ranging from 15 minutes to two hours. This marked a considerable return to normalcy after days of disruptions. Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) CEO Ajay Kumar said flight schedules were gradually stabilising. "Only a few flights from Mumbai, Bengaluru and Delhi were cancelled; the rest operated as scheduled with minor delays," he said. The disruption was triggered by a technical glitch in IndiGo's duty roster, which led to a shortage of pilots and crew members after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) revised duty-hour regulations. In a statement issued on Tuesday, IndiGo said operations across its network had largely been restored. "After days of significant and steady improvement, we have reinstated our operations across the network. All flights published on our website are scheduled to operate with an adjusted network. Nearly all bags that were stuck at airports have been delivered to customers, and the remaining will be delivered at the earliest," the airline said. Airport authorities said they expect full normal operations soon if no further staffing issues arise....
