India, Dec. 20 -- Actor Anuj Sachdev is still shaken after being assaulted by a resident in his Mumbai housing society. "The incident happened late Sunday night in the parking area of the complex. It began as a minor exchange and without any real provocation, the resident became aggressive and violently attacked me with a rod," he tells us. The 41-year-old says the assault has deeply affected his sense of safety. "It was brutal and left me shocked and helpless. This wasn't a momentary loss of temper; it was a serious act of violence that could have had worse consequences. It caused slurred speech, blurred vision and repeated episodes of vomiting," he says, adding, "Doctors have expressed concern about the head trauma. The after-effects of the injury have disrupted my daily life." Though he filed a police complaint immediately, submitting video footage, eyewitness details and CCTV information, no arrest has been made so far. "Despite clear evidence, the accused continues to live in the same building. My parents were devastated. We are only hoping that the system acts swiftly and that the truth prevails," he ends....
