Chandigarh, June 4 -- Following a storm and trace rain (less than 0.1 mm) in the city for the second consecutive night, the minimum temperature plunged to 21degC on Tuesday, 5.3 degrees below normal. With chances of rain on Tuesday night as well, due to an active Western Disturbance, it can drop further, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature fell from 24.4degC on Monday to 21degC on Tuesday. This is lower than all of June last year, when 22.2degC on June 6 was the lowest reading.
