Chandigarh, Nov. 11 -- The minimum temperature of the city continues to fall further as winter draws nearer. On Monday, the night temperature slid further from 11degC on Sunday to 10.2degC, 3.1 degrees below normal and the lowest of the season yet. As per IMD officials, the mercury is on the downturn due to cold Northwesterly winds blowing in the region. Further drop is expected in the coming days. Shimla was comparably cold, where the minimum temperature was 8.8degC. Interestingly Kasauli, at 11.7degC, was warmer at night than Chandigarh. The maximum temperature, meanwhile, rose from 28.3degC on Sunday to 29degC on Monday. This is 1 degree above normal. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain between 27degC and 28degC, while the minimum temperature will remain between 10degC and 11degC....
