Srinagar, Dec. 10 -- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested another doctor from Kashmir who investigators say is a key accused in the November 10 Red Fort bomb blast case, marking the eighth arrest by the central probe agency in the case and the fourth medical professional taken into custody. The agency identified the latest accused as Dr Bilal Naseer Malla of Baramulla, saying he was picked up by an NIA team in Delhi. "He is the eighth accused to be arrested in case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI," an agency spokesperson said. "During investigation, it was found that he was involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack that killed 11 persons and injured several others." The NIA said Malla had knowingly sheltered the deceased accused, Umar Un Nabi, by providing logistical support and was also involved in destroying evidence related to the attack. On the same day, NIA teams conducted fresh searches in the forests of Hutmurah in Anantnag district as part of the ongoing investigation. Officials aware of the matter said the raids were conducted based on information provided by two accused who pointed investigators to alleged hideouts in the forested stretches of south Kashmir.SPECIAL REPORT:THE LIVES THEY LIVED, P4...
