India, Sept. 26 -- With fried snacks off the plate and meat, garlic, and ginger out of the kitchen, the nine days of Navratri may seem like a 'detox' for many. But the festivals' fasting traditions can do far more. Celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar insists that the habits of this period can boost digestion, introduce dietary diversity, and even de-stress the system when planned well. Rujuta, who has worked with actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan, and Varun Dhawan, shared a post on Instagram, urging devotees to look beyond the buzzword 'detox'.
