Mount Carmel holds workshop on 21st century teaching skills
Chandigarh, May 29 -- Under the aegis of the founders and directors, Earnest Charles Samuel and Annie Charles Samuel, along with the principal Praveena John Singh, a workshop on 21st century teaching skills was conducted at Mount Carmel School. The session was organised in collaboration with Full Marks Publications, with Anjan Ganguly serving as the lead speaker.
The workshop focused on equipping educators to meet the demands of the modern classroom. Ganguly guided teachers on how to foster essential skills in students, such as adaptability, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, effective communication, media literacy, and the responsible use of technology. Emphasis was also placed on cultivating social skills, productivity, leadership qualities, and emotional intelligence. Practical teaching strategies for students from Nursery to Class 12 were also shared during the session.
The workshop concluded with a thought-provoking video that highlighted the importance of understanding and addressing students' needs with care and sensitivity to bring out their best potential.
The principal remarked that such workshops enlighten educators on effective ways to engage with students constructively and empathetically.
