Miscreants hurl five petrol bombs at house in Adampur
Jalandhar, July 8 -- Unidentified miscreants hurled five petrol bombs at a house in Jalandhar's Adampur town in the wee hours of Monday, police said. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed outside the house in the Gandhi Nagar area of Adampur.
Senior police officials, including deputy inspector general of police Naveen Singla and Jalandhar rural senior superintendent of police Harvinder Singh Virk, reached the spot for further investigation.
DIG Singla said the police have initiated an investigation from different angles and the statements of the victims have been recorded. "The family said that they had not received any extortion calls. Multiple teams have been formed to arrest the accused. We are tracking their movement through CCTV footage," Singla said.
SSP Virk said they had gathered multiple clues and the accused will be arrested soon. House owner Parminder Kaur told the police that the incident came to light on Monday morning when she found broken glass pieces and the main iron gate burnt. "On checking the CCTV footage, we found unidentified men hurling petrol bombs at our house," said Parminder, who stays in the house with her younger son, while her two other children are living abroad....
