Chandigarh, Nov. 23 -- After a recent spell of rising temperatures, mercury has again started dropping in the city, as per the IndiaMeteorological Department (IMD). The maximum temperature dropped from 27.1degC on Friday to 25.6degC on Saturday, at normal. The minimum temperature dropped from 10degC on Friday to 8.9degC on Saturday, two degrees below normal. As the effects of the Western Disturbance (WD) act have started to reduce, the temperature will start to slide more in the coming days. Over the next three days, the maximum temperature will remain between 24degC and 25degC while minimum temperature will remain between 8degC and 9degC. The air quality index (AQI) of the city continued to stay in the moderate bracket on Saturday. As per the daily bulletin released by the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI of the city was recorded at 194.
