Mercedes mows down 28-yr-old biker, driver absconding
Gurugram, April 1 -- A 28-year-old man died after a speeding Mercedes bearing a Delhi registration number struck his motorcycle from behind near an intersection in Sector-15, Faridabad, police officials said on Tuesday.
The deceased, Anand Raj Bind, originally from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, had been living in a rented accommodation in Bhataula, Faridabad, for the past six months with two relatives, officers said. He died during treatment at a private hospital in Delhi on Monday night, they added.
Police said the accident took place between 2am and 2.15am on Sunday when Bind was returning home after delivering an order. Officers said he slowed down near the intersection in front of the Sector 15 fire station when a white Mercedes-Benz CLA 200, registered in Delhi, rammed into him from behind.
Faridabad Central SHO Ranbir Singh said the driver fled after abandoning the car. An FIR has been registered. htc...
