Mohali, Jan. 7 -- The Mohali municipal corporation (MC) will begin sealing defaulting properties from Wednesday as it intensifies its enforcement drive against chronic property tax defaulters, particularly commercial and industrial establishments that have failed to clear long-pending dues despite repeated notices. MC commissioner Parminder Pal Singh said sealing notices under Section 138-C of the Punjab Municipal Corporation Act, 1976, have already been served and final warnings issued, granting defaulters three days (ending Tuesday) to clear outstanding property tax along with penalty and interest.
