Kolkata, May 16 -- Several people were injured on Thursday evening after protesting school teachers, who lost their jobs last month after a Supreme Court order in the SSC recruitment irregularities case, clashed with police personnel outside the West Bengal education department's office in Kolkata. "The agitators blocked all entrances to Bikash Bhawan, the government building, around noon. As a result, all employees and visitors were locked in. As the standoff continued, the police requested the agitators around 8.30 pm to let those people leave.
