Karnal, Jan. 6 -- A man allegedly killed his wife by strangling her with a belt and later committed suicide by jumping into a pond at Dabkhera village of Kurukshetra's Ladwa on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, reportedly due to marital dispute. Police said they received information about the incident through Dial 112 helpline. The woman was found dead in the house, while the man's body was retrieved from a village pond. During investigation, police recovered a belt, a dupatta, two mobile phones, and a handwritten suicide note from the spot.In the note, the man accused his wife of having an illicit relationship with an unknown person and claimed that she was in constant touch with him. The note also mentions marital disputes and allegations of neglect of their two sons aged around 11 and 7 years. Family members told police that the couple had frequent arguments.
