Panchkula, Oct. 30 -- A Hisar man has been arrested on charges of bigamy after marrying a woman from Panchkula while already being married with two children. According to the complaint, the woman first met the accused in 2023, and the two began communicating regularly. The man allegedly presented himself as unmarried and gradually gained the woman's trust. In 2025, the two tied the knot. However, shortly after the marriage, the woman discovered that the accused was already married and had two children from his first marriage. Feeling deceived, she lodged a complaint at the Women police station on September 30. Based on the complaint, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections pertaining to bigamy and outraging the modesty of a woman. Following investigation, the police arrested the accused and produced him in a court, which remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days....
