Chandigarh, May 16 -- A man, identified as Kranti Chaudhary, has been arrested after he objected to physical frisking and misbehaved with superintendent of police (SP, City) Niharika Bhatt during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally in Sector 34 on Tuesday.

He was booked under Sections 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant) and 353 (assault and criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of duty) of the Indian Penal Code. Police refused to divulge any further information about the accused.

Sources said Chaudhary wanted to enter the venue - ground opposite the Sector 34 gurdwara - to catch the PM's closer glimpse while he was addressing the crowds at the rally in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kirr...
